Studio STH was commissioned in September 2012 by Healthscope to provide Principal Consultancy services in relation to the conversion and re-development of existing facilities at the Hemisphere Conference Centre and Holmesglen TAFE, Moorabbin Campus, to an Acute Private Hospital with operating theatres and supporting infrastructure.

This private hospital in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs adds to Holmesglen’s existing health education facilities, providing better training opportunities and clinical placements for their students.
 
Stage 1 of a 5 level development includes: 132 bed IPU with 42 bed Medi Hotel facility, 6 bed ICU, 9 bed CCU, 12 Chair Oncology facility with 6 chair expansion, 1 cardiac catheterization laboratory, 8 Operating Theatres, 4 bed discharge lounge, Pathology, Emergency Department, DOSA area, Tenancy/Consulting Suites, reception and lounge area and clinical support areas. 277 car parking spaces were also planned for the hospital.
