Melvin is a driven Graduate of Architecture with experience working in cultural, healthcare, education and urban masterplanning projects across Australia, Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Prior to his experience in architecture, Melvin was trained as a landscape designer. He specialised in aged care and health care landscape designs to promote health and activity for users.
Melvin worked for three years in Hong Kong until his return to Australia in 2022. He was an instrumental member for the Shenzhen Natural History Museum working with teams in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Denmark. In addition, he has worked with Hospital Authority to deliver public healthcare projects in Hong Kong.
As a hands-on designer and problem solver, Melvin has a strong interest in integrating landscape design and architecture together – to respond to people’s needs as well as to create unique experiences for users. Having delivered projects from conceptual design stage all the way to construction, Melvin aspires to develop more innovative and sustainable infrastructures in the healthcare sector.
