St John of God Ballarat Hospital

Ballarat, Victoria

Developing for the Future

The St John of God campus in Ballarat provides private healthcare services to the Central Western region of Victoria. St John of God have been providing healthcare services on the Ballarat campus for over 100 years. The hospital delivers services predominantly from the John Jens Medical Services building which was developed in the 1970s and a newer South Block.

The current project involves a major addition and partial redevelopment of the existing hospital assets. The new East Wing delivers additional In-Patient Accommodation, a new Intensive Care Unit, expansion to the existing Operating Theatre Suite and redevelopment of the Main Entry Foyer and Vehicular Set-down. The new wing has also been future proofed to accommodate additional In-patient Units and Consulting Suites.

Within the existing facility the project redevelops and expands 2 new Cardiac Catherisation Labs, a new First Stage Recovery Zone for the Operating Theatre Suite and a new re-developed Central Sterile Supply Department.

A Multi-deck Carpark has also been proposed on the Western edge of the site to support the increased accommodation scope.
